The Carrero Connection – Book One First Draft Complete! ✍️🖤

Today marks a big milestone…

The first draft of Book One of The Carrero Connection trilogy is officially complete!

This story introduces Nick Carrero and Rachel Hunt, and what began as a fun idea has grown into one of the most emotional Carrero stories I’ve written. Watching these two go from complete strangers to something far more complicated has been an incredible journey, and I’m so excited with how their story is unfolding.

But don’t expect me to disappear into editing just yet!

Rather than polishing Book One immediately, I’m moving straight on to writing the rough drafts of Books Two and Three.

Why?

Because I love working on an entire trilogy as one complete story. It allows me to plant foreshadowing, strengthen character arcs, and make sure every emotional payoff lands exactly where it should. Once all three rough drafts are finished, I’ll go back to Book One and begin the editing and polishing process before moving through the trilogy in order.

The goal is a much smoother writing process and, ultimately, a faster release schedule once editing begins. Instead of long gaps between books, I’ll already have the full story written and can focus entirely on revisions, formatting, covers, and publication.

Nick and Rachel still have a long road ahead of them, and trust me… they’re only just getting started.
