It’s been a whirlwind few months here, and I wanted to share a wee update with you all — partly because many of you have been asking how things are, and partly because writing these little check-ins always feels like catching up with friends.
As some of you already know, my son broke his leg earlier this year, and what we expected to be a straightforward recovery turned into something much bigger. He needed knee surgery, and we’ve spent the last five months going back and forth to physio, helping him rebuild strength and mobility.
He’s been incredibly brave through it all — far braver than I would be — but it’s been a long, emotional road for both of us. This week we’re heading into a new MRI and another appointment with the surgeon because he’s still having problems. So it’s been one of those seasons of doing your best, holding everything together, and hoping the next step brings clearer answers.
With all of that happening, my writing pace has naturally slowed. I have begun working on Awakening Book Three, and I’m genuinely excited about where the story is going — but progress has been gentler and slower than usual while life has needed my attention elsewhere. Thank you to everyone who’s been patient and supportive; it means more than you know.
On the brighter side, I’ve been diving back into crafting — especially my Scottish Pride pieces, which have completely captured my heart lately. There’s something grounding and joyful about creating with my hands when life is chaotic, and it’s been lovely seeing so many of you enjoy the new makes.
And… I’m easing myself back toward YouTube vlogging again!
It’s been ages, and every time I sit down in the studio I think, I should be filming this. So expect a return of studio vlogs, craft updates, behind-the-scenes moments, and the usual dose of chaos and cosy vibes.
So that’s where I’m at:
✨ juggling motherhood
✨ supporting a long recovery
✨ writing slowly but surely
✨ crafting up a Scottish storm
✨ and creeping back onto YouTube
If you’re still here, reading, following, supporting — thank you, truly.
Life isn’t always glamorous, but it’s real, and I’m grateful to share the journey with you.
