Introducing my friend – The Lily Bell

🌸 It’s not often I stray from books and such, but when I do I want to make it worthwhile. A very good friend of mine (actually my ex editor, and one of my ‘besties’) has ventured onto a new business, which is blooming, and as an avid fan, I wanted to share her with all of you.

Grace Bell, is the talent behind The Lily Bell.

🌸 She is doing really well since The Lily Bell launched, and already beginning to create a cult following with her ‘adventures of Ted’ pictures, on her social media.

🌸 I am completely in love with her little Ted characters and excited to tell you, that in the near future we will be doing a Carrero themed little ted giveaway – so keep your eye peeled for that blog post!!!

🌸 I asked Grace what she enjoyed about her new business and this is what she said –
‘I enjoy it because it’s the first thing I’ve ever found that I can look at and be impressed with what I made. Not including Ava. I’ve always been an ‘I’m alright at that’ kinda girl. Until I did crochet. And I never make something for someone else that I wouldn’t be happy to receive myself. I enjoy it because it blocks out the craziness of the world and I can get lost in making pretty things. There are so many possibilities with it too. When I learnt the basics of crochet it was through stop start YouTube videos and I progressed from there. Anything I’ve needed to learn for crochet I’ve researched thoroughly. It’s one of those things you can do without barriers. You are your own obstacle. And there’s so much autonomy with it that the possibilities are endless.’22089424_1977563319135110_7576278515988719200_n

🌸 Grace has a knack for cute toys and fun accessories, with plans in the future for some patterns too. She is currently processing CE regulations on many of her designs, and is fully committed to making her creations suitable for all ages of children.

🌸 She also takes custom requests for clothes, unusual ideas, and other items you want to be made. As an excellent crocheter and crafter, there is not much she cannot turn her hand to.

    1. Thank you so much! My mum tried to teach me how to crochet when I was 21/22 and I just couldn’t get the hang of it. I was all over the place. I think you just have to learn the best way for you 🙂 fingers crossed you get into it because it can be so relaxing to do 🙂 xx

    1. Thank you!! The Christmas lights were supposed to be just a one off for my dads partners friend. But, I decided to pop them on Etsy anyway to see how they sold. Between Oct and Dec I think I sold about 20 sets of them. They’re gorgeous. I love how the colours pop on them. The original pattern was from a blogger/crocheter called RepeatCrafterMe and I just tweaked her design a little. Another reason I like crochet 🙂 xx
